My name is Leila, and I am a visiting research student from Switzerland. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich, following a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Bioinformatics. I am very passionate about contributing to research that advances medical science and improves people’s lives. At the Joslin, I am primarily working on analyzing epigenetic changes in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Outside of the lab, I love spending time outdoors - whether skiing and hiking in the Swiss Alps or relaxing with a book at the beach. I also love exploring new cities and experiencing different cultures.
