I’m a physician from Egypt and received my MD in 2015 from Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt and completed my residency in 2019. Being in the practice for years, I knew how research could affect clinical practice and began to work as a research fellow in Northeast Ohio Medical University before joining the Patti Lab. My research interests are endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic disease. Under Dr. Patti’s mentorship, I’m seeking to learn and conduct research on epigenetic mechanisms that can affect insulin resistance, disease risk and the possibility of epigenetic modulation.

I enjoy jogging, bicycling, love football and am a fan of FC Barcelona.
