Research Fellow
Emanuel was born and raised in Mexico, where he received his MD from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas. He completed a year of clinical rotations in Houston, Texas, during medical school. He has held leadership roles, including founding the Cardiology Interest Group at his medical school, which is recognized by the American College of Cardiology. He worked on the endocrinology research team at the Centro de Estudios de Investigacion Metabolicos y Cardiovasculares in Tampico, Mexico. His curiosity and desire to deepen his knowledge in research and patient care led him to the Patti Lab, where he is pursuing training in clinical and translational research in hypoglycemia and diabetes aimed at improving patients’ lives. He advocates for individualized, tailored care and the advancement of research. He is committed to a career in academic internal medicine and endocrinology.
He also enjoys reading, outdoor sports, gardening, collecting antiques, and attending theater and cinema.
