Research Fellow
Dr. Ari Gattu completed his clinical fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School, Division of Endocrinology. He is a research fellow in Ronald Kahn's lab at Joslin Diabetes Center. His research focuses on understanding the dysregulation of insulin signaling in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. He is currently using human iPSC-derived hepatocytes as an in vitro model to understand the mechanisms of insulin resistance. He sees patients at Brigham and Woman's Hospital and is interested in lipid biology and diabetes. Before joining Dr. Kahn's lab, he completed his post-doctoral training at Yale University/VA Medical Center Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. He studied gluconeogenesis and subsequently completed his internal medicine residency training. Ari loves to run and paint.
